What does this mean?
This means that most of Yackit.com is working just fine. But like every new Web app, there are some rough edges that we may have missed through even the most rigorous checking. And when thousands of people like you use the site, you’re likely to find them.
How can I help?
Please help us make Yackit.com work great for everyone. If anything weird happens (like a browser crashes, or you can’t hear someone on a Yack) please give us some feedback so we can check it out and polish it up.
In the meantime ...
Here’s a couple of things that we know about and are working hard to fix. We also give you quick solutions you can use to overcome common issues in the FAQ’s while we’re working on it back at HQ.
- Microphone volumes/skipping audio - We crank up your mic, but still some users may come across as quiet in a Yack or have skipping audio as the mic fails to pick up. Remember to speak up! And in the meantime, we’ll see how we can help keep everyone tuned up.
- Freezing videos - Streaming live videos from around the states (and world) requires broadband internet speeds. If you’re experiencing freezing, try boosting your speed by closing other Web pages and plugging in if you’re on WiFi.
- Safari browser crashes - We all know that Apple and Flash don’t always get along, and sometimes it shows on our Yack page. If your browser crashes, please let us know your username and roughly when it happened - collecting this data is very helpful for us!
